Renovation

High-country cottage, Central Otago

A reline is renovation plastering at full depth: old linings out, new board in, every junction of an old frame made straight before a coat of compound goes near it. Old buildings move, so the fix matters more here than on a new build.

The frames run the whole arc: walls open to the framing, insulation in, board on, then every room taped and bedded. Materials in, one crew, and the same raking-light check before the painter made the same drive.
